By blending high-quality beverages, community-centred programming, The Bear’s Den will elevate the club experience while promoting wellbeing, social engagement, and inclusivity.
Objectives

The Concept
• Ambience: A lounge styled as “The Bear’s Den,” designed with, soft lighting, and comfortable seating to encourage both quiet reflection and lively discussion. Sports shown on event days and open when main bar is closed so sections and the community can use the facilities.
• Menu: Curated coffee and tea selection including single-origin beans, ground coffee, herbal infusions, ceremonial teas, and seasonal specialty drinks.
• Community Integration: Special events hosted in collaboration with local schools, artists, and small businesses.
Benefits to the Community
• Social Connection: Provides a welcoming, environment where members and non-members alike can gather.

• Economic Impact: Strengthens ties with local suppliers and creates opportunities for employment and training.
Financial Considerations
• Revenue Streams: Beverage sales, specialty retail (beans, loose-leaf teas, accessories), private event bookings, and workshops.
• Initial Investment: Fit-out of the lounge, procurement of equipment (espresso machines, brewing stations), and staff training. This is mainly done with the new machine and current Filter pots, some thought need on furniture when not in party use to fit the “concept”
• Sustainability: Options for environmentally conscious operations, such as biodegradable cups, ethically sourced beans/teas, and energy-efficient equipment. Also, the waste matter from the coffee beans.
Success Measures
• Member and community participation rates in events and daily use.
• Financial viability through consistent revenue growth.
• Positive community feedback and strengthened local partnerships.
• Recognition as a unique club feature that enhances reputation and member satisfaction.
Conclusion
The Bear’s Den will be a cornerstone of community enrichment within the club. By offering an elevated coffee and tea experience that prioritizes quality, wellness, and connection, the space will generate lasting value for members, guests, and the wider community.
